Weekend of heritage themed activities pertaining to the Plott hound–state dog of N.C –and plans to get Plott hound festival started again in Maggie valley.

SCHEDULE:

FRIDAY JULY 9: Friday night meet and greet from 7:00 PM until 10:00 PM. Beverages for sale at pavilion bar, light snacks provided, music and bonfire. Hosted by Bob Plott.

SATURDAY, JULY 10

11:00 AM: Original Plott family gun and accoutrements and pedigree display with Shane Plott and Bob Plott

NOON: Plott dog program by Bob Plott.

1:00 PM: Mechanical bear bay demo with Gary Bowen.

2:00 PM: Bench show demo with Eugene Walker, Gary Beatty and Gary Bowen.

3:00 PM: Presentation of the Robert Henry Plott Award and Person Doing Most for the Plott Breed by Bob Plott, with special awards for winners designed by Cory Plott and Shane Plott.

3:45 PM:  A conversation with Plott legends, moderated by Bob Plott, special guests Eugene Walker, Gary Beatty and others.

4:45 PM: Raffle of items donated by Gary Beatty of GT Hunting Supplies

5:00 PM: Book signing with Bob Plott and Jacob Plott

5:30 PM: Old time hunting tunes and ballads with William Ritter

6:45 PM: SUPPER BREAK                                                                                                          

9:00 PM: Fellowship and brainstorming about future PlottFest  plans around the fire and at pavilion. Can even do Karaoke if someone wants to.

11:00 PM: Event ends.
