Their brand of Americana music is an infectious blend of folk\, light rock\, blues\, jazz\, and a touch of traditional country. They met through a mutual friend and from the very first note realized they had something special.Len has been honing his songwriting craft for well over 40 years now. His songs are streamed all over the world and his inspiration is now taken from the hollers and characters found here in the beautiful Smoky Mountains. SUMMARY:Steve “Piano Man” Whiddon With Angie Toomey
DESCRIPTION:Steve began playing piano at age 3 and there has been some slight improvement. After high school he performed in clubs\, restaurants\, honky tonk bars\, and anywhere else he could play for food\, tips\, drinks\, and various other  assorted methods of payment. He was even the organist for the Detroit Tigers for spring training games in the early and mid 90’s and never once caught a foul ball.\nHe later discovered that country clubs would trade meals and free golf in exchange for his musical services. Aha! Life was good! His waistline expanded but his golf game\nremained lousy.\nSomehow he found time to use what was left of his fragile brain to write some songs and then some more songs. Some rock\, some country\, and some nobody has figured out yet.\nIn 2001 Steve met Dave Magill\, a producer\, musician\, and studio wizard. The two hit it off immediately and started recording Steve’s songs in Dave’s studio. They continue to work together on many different projects.\nSteve lives in Maggie Valley\, North Carolina where he fishes\, hikes\, and loves the Smoky Mountains. His golf game remains the same.\n\nJoin us for an evening of live music with Steve on Thursday\, September 8 at 5:30 PM! It’s a free event\, with BBQ dinner available for $12. DESCRIPTION:The Meadowlark Smoky Mountain Heritage Center and Meadowlark Motel proudly announce another great mountain heritage event for 2022 – an evening of dinner and dancing with the legendary Jonathan Creek Cloggers on Saturday night\, July 30th. Our evening begins with a delicious barbeque dinner at 6:00 PM and culminates with a rollicking performance by the Jonathan Creek Cloggers at 7:30 PM. The iconic dance group will perform multiple examples of traditional mountain dancing\, as well as teaching the audience several fun dance steps. Group leader\, Kim Ross\, will also give a short talk on the history and traditions of mountain dancing. Grab your partner and come and join us for a memorable\, fun filled evening of dining and dancing! \nAdmission is free for motel guests and Heritage Club members\, and 20 dollars per person for folks not staying at the motel.
